Remote Learning Schedule

Remote Learning Schedule
Posted on 04/16/2021
As you are aware, the Provincial Government has ordered schools to move to remote learning as we return from Spring Break.  Here is some important information as we move forward.  Monday, April 19th will be an asynchronous learning day.  This means that teachers will have activities for students available in Google Classroom that will be accessible to your child and that the kids will be working semi-independently on Monday so teachers can prepare to move to remote learning for Tuesday morning.  Teachers will also be reaching out on Monday to determine who will need a chromebook and/or internet access.  On Tuesday, April 20th, all credit classes will move to remote learning. Students in our GLP classes who are already working remotely will have regular school days. Below is the schedule for the day for students in our credit program:

We have received some direction from the District and the Province about the possibility of students in specialized special education classrooms accessing in school learning.  Next week, our Special Education team at Sir Guy will be consulting with families and reviewing the criteria for students in our specialized classes to return to in school learning including a start date for those students with very significant learning needs who cannot access learning remotely.  Please note that this will take us some time to complete.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.
