Transitions Program

    Transitions Program

At Sir Guy Carleton, we recognize that planning for your next steps after high school can be difficult. That is why we developed the Transitions Program to assist senior students in making plans for their lives after high school, whether that be employment, an apprenticeship or college.

The Transitions Program serves students who are in their last year of high school, or who have graduated and are not sure what to do next. The program runs all morning and the students can participate in one or two semesters. It consists of the following courses: TIJ1O (Exploring Technologies), HIP3E (Managing Personal Resources), GLN4O (Navigating the Workplace) & GLS4O (Advanced Learning Strategies: Skills for Success After Secondary School).

The program is usually paired with Co-Operative Education to give students real life work experience in a career that interests them.
