The Green Industries program introduces students to the various sectors of Green Industries - Agriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Floristry, and Landscaping. Using materials, processes, and techniques commonly employed in these industries. Our Greenhouse is our primary teaching tool in which we house the school’s Aquaponic system. This is an ecosystem in which plants and fish are grown together. The fish waste provides food for the plants and the plants clean the water for the fish. We grow upwards of 500 lettuce and Basil plants at any given time. This food is used in our Culinary Arts program and Cafeteria. We also teach Urban farming in our SHSM program.  Urban farming is the practice of cultivating vegetables within an urban environment.
