Special Education in the Vocational Program

Most Sir Guy Carleton students have an Individual Education Plan created by a thorough review of the student’s Ontario School Record (OSR). Learning Support Teachers provide consultation to parents, students and outside agencies. Each student is assigned a Learning Support Teacher based on last name alpha.

Assistive Technology

Sir Guy Carleton students who require the use of assistive technology to meet curriculum expectations are able to access Chromebooks in a variety of ways.

  • all teachers can book one of eight Chromebook carts which contain a class set of Chromebooks
  • students can sign out a Chromebook from the library for use in their classes

ALL Sir Guy Students receive training on the use of assistive technology software Google Read and Write and its use is encouraged throughout Sir Guy.
