Auto Body Repair:
Students will learn how to use hand and power tools to work with and finish metal. You will learn how and when to use plastic body fillers, how to remove and replace parts, panels and skins, and how to sand, mask, and paint car bodies. You will learn detailing procedures for the finished product, including polishing and protecting the vehicle finish. You will learn how to analyze damage and repair and replace body parts of the vehicle. Advanced students may learn vehicle restoration and custom painting techniques. All classes cover Environmentally-friendly, Health & Safety rules and what protective gear you need to wear to work with paints and metal. Courses prepare you for college automotive classes and apprenticeships such as automobile painter and auto body repairer.
